"Gigan have always been full of technical wonders and their latest album, Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super Science is no different. While I was listening to the album, I was also in the midst of editing the sci-fi portion of a manuscript and Gigan fit the atmosphere quite well. I could hear all the bleeps and bloops coming from the ship’s control deck, feel the ice-cold winds of space blowing against my face and hear the whirling of inter-stellar travel as they led me throughout the stars. Gigan’s work always has been something that isn’t just a listen, but an audial adventure; and this newest release is no different. Just the opener (“Beneath The Sea Of Tranquility”) alone opens the album with enough force to warrant a self-contained journey through realms unknown and proves that it can do so with or without the harsh vocal element. Though make no mistake; because Gigan definitely still deliver in the brutality department, albeit with the same sense of unconventionality that we’ve always expected from them..."
